The CW network has wasted no time in releasing it’s 2017/18 renewal list, with the superhero fraternity and networks longest series been picked up once again.
The renewal will see popular shows Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow and Supernatural return with the same format of a 20 plus season episode list. Many criticism has sparked over recent standard of certain shows over the years – most notably of Arrow and Supernatural, with many sceptics questioning the quality of programming and suggesting the shows are actually just mass producing episodes in favor of actually delivering the desired standard of content. That would all down to personal opinion but one thing for sure is that throughout all the press, these shows are certainly pulling in the desired ratings as each fanbase remains very strong.
This news finally cements ‘Supernatural’ as the longer running show on the network and with ‘The Vampire Diaries’ now shutting its doors, everyone’s favorite hunting brothers hold the position of longest running show by over double the years to the second longest in Arrow.
The renewals have certainly put the superhero genre in good standing with all programming related to the world of Marvel and DC been brought back. The continuing trend of popularity in the genre shows no signs of stopping with more series to come and a host of feature film releases in the works.
Are you excited to see these shows renewed or are some going on too long?
